Looking for a creative and interactive paper craft project? This DIY My Melody Medical Care & Dress-up Quiet Book combines the excitement of unboxing blind bags with the storytelling of a “hospital roleplay.” It’s an excellent way to practice fine motor skills and enjoy some screen-free time.
Materials List:
- Paper: 8 sheets of 120g A4 white cardstock.
- Cutting Tools: Craft knife, steel ruler, scissors, tweezers.
- Special Hardware: 1 brad (split pin), hole punch, thick steel needle.
- Interactive Elements: Thin rubber gloves, laminating film (or clear tape), transparent PVC sheet, tracing paper.
- Assembly: Markers, fiberfill (stuffing), double-sided tape or glue dots.
- Pro Tip: Tap your glue dots on your skin a few times before applying to make them “repositionable” and prevent tearing the paper.
How to Play & Storyline:
Step 1: The Emergency Rescue Open the blind bag to find a sick and injured My Melody. Put on your medical gloves for a realistic experience! Use tweezers to remove the splinters, apply a “cool pack,” and disinfect her wounds with a cotton swab.
Step 2: X-Ray Diagnostic Take My Melody to the handmade X-ray machine. Using a sliding PVC mechanism, you can see the “broken bone” in her arm. Carefully align and fix it to complete her surgery!
Step 3: The Fashion Studio After recovery, it’s time for some fun! Head to the sewing room to craft her signature pink hood and dress. Use the pre-punched holes to simulate a real sewing experience and decorate her look with paper flowers.
Step 4: Sweet Dreams Now that My Melody is healthy and beautiful, tuck her into her cozy, cotton-filled bed with her favorite plushie.
